Biting into words, chewing letters, tasting paper -- eating the language. In my work I see the translation of phonetic sounds into letters as a kind of materialisation and I include paper into this lingual substance as a carrier. Like medieval language scrolls in which the folds were intended to reproduce the liveliness of expression, I transfer the characteristics of paper [creasing, crumpling, tearing, rolling, ...] to the qualities of language.
